Scamming is not illegal but also it's not ethical. You should always avoid scamming on your visitors, because it is a negative feedback you produce as a reward to your visitors. Sometimes scams can be used in a funny way but if you are a lazy and an inexperienced one, the visitor might go crazy because of cheating.
If you use scam, the visitor can loose his trust on the site and might be black listed easily.
